A forgettable January transfer window is fading into memory quicker than Tim Sherwood can claim credit for the rise of Harry Kane.
But that doesn’t mean fans have stopped dreaming of the day a particular player finally gets off their club’s books.
You know the type. Maybe it’s someone who could command a huge transfer fee and provide a big boost to the coffers?
Or someone who doesn’t fit the manager’s playing style – and never will? Perhaps someone who simply isn’t fit to wear the shirt?
This is, of course, not a reality. (Just like Sherwood’s story about discovering Kane all on his own).
But what if supporters could get their wish and were given then chance to instantly sell one player form their club’s current squad?
Well, we asked a fan of each Premier League team to make their choice…
Arsenal fan
@dodddy_2: “The first player at Arsenal I would sell is Shkodran Mustafi, who is without doubt one of the worst defenders to put on an Arsenal shirt in recent years.
“His rashness, lack of discipline and tendency to dive in infuriates fans on a regular basis. On top of that we would get a fair sum for him from a European team to invest in a competent replacement.”
Bournemouth fan
@CherryChimes: “Come and get Jordon Ibe, please! He might drive a smart car but tell us another club where he can park it. While we are offloading it may be time to let Lys Mousset go as well as he’s not kicked on.
“Callum Wilson is the big money ticket at Bournemouth, but I like the sound of holding out for £70m plus.”
Brighton fan
@wearebrighton: “Other than add thousands of followers to the club’s Instagram page, Alireza Jahanbakhsh has done nothing so far in a Brighton shirt. He doesn’t look like a winger, he certainly isn’t a striker and he isn’t fit to lace the boots of Pascal Gross when we play with a number 10.
“He needs a big final few months of the season if he’s to convince anyone that he’s anywhere near worthy of being the club’s record purchase. If not, then we should sell in the summer to at least try and recoup some of the record £17m we paid for his services.”

@Nick_CPFC: “Alexander Sørloth – whilst he’s still young, it’s already clear that he isn’t cut out for Premier League football. The glaring lack of forward movement from the Norwegian makes it difficult to see him fitting into Roy Hodgson’s plans.
“He’s currently on loan at the Belgium club Gent, but most Palace fans wouldn’t be too disappointed if he sealed a permanent move there in the Summer.”

“As for transfer fee for him I don’t think you would get a big fee – maybe £5m to £10m at most. He never really got going at Newcastle in my opinion and is more suited to the Championship than Premier League.”
