Real Madrid are set to take on Ajax in the Champions League tonight, with Sergio Ramos expected to captain Los Blancos as they go in search of a fourth consecutive Champions League crown.
Things have changed an awful lot at the club since Ramos made his debut in 2005. Back then Ramos made his very first appearance as a half-time substitute alongside club legends such as Ronaldo, Roberto Carlos and David Beckham.
Ramos arrived at Madrid as a 19-year-old, having joined from Sevilla for a fee of €27 million, and has gone on to cement himself as Real Madrid’s key man at the back.
The fresh face and luscious locks are gone. He’s now a battle hardened veteran who earned his stripes long ago.
You’ll be surprised by some of the faces who he featured alongside in the somewhat forgettable 3-2 defeat to Celta Vigo.
