Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah turns down the Man of the Match award following the Reds 4-0 victory against Bournemouth in honour of James Milner’s 500th Premier League appearance.
The Egyptian notched a fine hat-trick during Liverpool’s 4-0 thrashing in Saturday’s lunch-time kick-off against Bournemouth.
Salah’s hat-trick sees him catch Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang at the top of the of the Premier League’s top scorers table, and helps the Reds maintain pressure on league leaders Manchester City.
Salah also ended his three-game goalless run on Saturday. His first wasn’t clear-cut and will have irked Bournemouth fans, as replays have shown that he was clearly offside. However, there should be no questions about the Egyptian’s second and third strikes, save for very poor defending.

Following the game, Salah won a well earned Man of the Match award, but in a typically modest gesture, the Reds talisman handed the award to team mate James Milner who completed his 500th appearance in the Premier League.
In a post match interview Salah passed the award to Milner and told Sky Sports: “I have to congratulate him for his amazing career and he deserves it today and I hope we win something together this season, but today I can not take it,” Salah said.
