Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has challenged Alexis Sanchez to ‘find himself’, claiming he cannot do anything about the Chilean’s poor form.
Sanchez reportedly cost the Red Devils £30.60m in January 2018, arriving from Arsenal, but has shown nothing of the form he produced in north London during his time in Manchester.

The 30-year-old scored 80 goals in 166 games during his time with the Gunners, helping them to two FA Cups along the way, but has only managed five strikes in 37 outings since his move north.
Man Utd caretaker boss, Solskjaer, though, has insisted Sanchez must find his own route back to form after the Chilean replaced Jesse Lingard during the 2-0 defeat to PSG on Tuesday, putting in another nondescript performance.
Solskjaer told reporters: “I can’t do anything about Alexis. He needs to find himself as we know there is a quality player there.”
Sanchez failed to complete a single dribble or get any shots on goal during his 45-minute showing against the French champions.

Solskjaer bemoans Lingard and Martial injuries
Man Utd put in a strong first-half performance against PSG, with the in-form Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial causing the Parisians a number of problems.
However, both players succumbed to injury and had to be substituted during the Champions League tie, and Solskjaer claims this denied his side movement high up the pitch and led to him having to totally change his gameplan.
“The reality is Jesse and Anthony are part of our squad playing really well but in the second half we didn’t have as much movement and couldn’t get in behind,” added the Norwegian.
“Juan [Mata] got on the ball to create a few bits but we maybe need to find a new way to play when Anthony and Jesse are out.”

Solskjaer did, however, back his side to ‘bounce back’, adding: “At this club, we bounce back. We have to bounce back, we’re in a tournament and the Champions League is always going to be difficult.
“We have the league and the FA Cup, so many games, but I’m not afraid of the reaction in the dressing room.
“We go down to Paris and we will give it a go. It’s a mountain to climb but not impossible, we need to try and get to half-time with a 1-0 lead. We’re ready for the next game, that’s the thing for us, we’re Man United and we always bounce back.”
United travel to Stamford Bridge to face a struggling Chelsea side in the FA Cup on Monday.
