Espanyol striker Borja Iglesias has played down a move to Everton in the summer.
The 26-year-old has scored 10 goals in 21 La Liga starts this season and has a release clause of €28m.

Following his impressive start to life in La Liga, Marca reported that Everton were looking to sign Iglesias in January.
The club were willing to pay his €28m release clause but the Spaniard had no intention of leaving Espanyol halfway through the season.
This still seems to be the case as Iglesias revealed his intention to stay at Espanyol for next season too.
Speaking to Diario AS (via Football Espana), he said: “I see myself here and there is no reason think otherwise. I am happy and I have a contract.”
Iglesias only joined Espanyol in the summer after a €10m deal brought him from Celta Vigo, where he made just one first team appearance in four years.

Getting to know Borja Iglesias
This may be his first season of regular football in La Liga, but Iglesias has been a proven goalscorer wherever he has been.
The 26-year-old spent four years playing for Celta Vigo’s B team and ended up as the side’s record goalscorer. Scoring 75 goals in 146 games, his best season for them was his last when he scored 34 goals in 39 games.
Following this, he went on loan to Zaragoza, who were also playing in the Segunda Division. That season he scored 23 goals in 43 games, helping Zaragoza to a third-place finish. Unfortunately for them, they fell short in the promotion play-offs and are still in the Segunda Division.
That season, however, did attract attention from La Liga and in July, Iglesias got his move to Espanyol.
In his impressive debut season at Espanyol, he matched a club record which stood for 14 years. Scoring in four La Liga successive matches across October and November, he became the first Espanyol player to do so since Raul Tamudo in 2004.
Iglesias isn’t just a football lover but a music lover, too. This peaked during 2016 when he was at Celta Vigo as he became so obsessed with the song Panda by Desiigner that it became his nickname. As for the team, they were also taken under the spell and became known as the “Panda Team” with some players going as far as getting panda tattoos.
