Juventus and Argentina forward Paulo Dybala has spoken to Match of the Day magazine about his admiration for Spurs striker Harry Kane – and four other Premier League players.
The 25-year-old, who is regarded as one of the world’s brightest prospects, admires his fellow forward for his versatility in front of goal.
How good is Dybala? Four things to know about how he compares to the Premier League’s stars…
- Dybala has eight goals and six assists in 29 matches for Juventus this season.
- Of the Premier League’s elite attacking midfielders, the likes of Christian Eriksen (19), Eden Hazard (25), Heung-Min Son (25) and Paul Pogba (24) have all been involved in more goals than Dybala’s total of 14.
- Dybala plays the majority of the time from the right-wing position for Juve, having started there 13 times this season.
- The forward would be a target for a number of elite teams if he opted to leave Turin in the future.
The Juventus attacker is enjoying a strong season in Italy, playing regularly with new signing Cristiano Ronaldo as Juve power their way to another Serie A title.
Dybala has made a name for himself in Serie A but is often linked with a potential move to the Premier League and he evidently watches a great deal of action from England’s top tier, with two strikers from north London catching his eye.
“I like watching Paul Pogba because he is my friend and a great player, Kevin De Bruyne because he is really skilful and Harry Kane because he scores in so many different ways,” Dybala said.
“Also Eden Hazard, because he has a lot of creativity, and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang because he is so fast.”
Meanwhile, Dybala is one of few players to have shared a dressing room with both Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
There is continuous debate about who is the best but Dybala chose to sit on the fence when asked to decide which one of the modern-day greats he would choose to take a last-minute penalty for his team.
“What a question! How about I score it and then both of them will be happy!
“I’m lucky to have played with and against Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo – for sure, they are the best players the world has seen for many years.”

Juventus on course for more silverware
Juventus are 13 points ahead of second-placed Napoli with 14 games left yet to play in Serie A. The eighth-straight Scudetto appears to be more or less in the bag for Massimiliano Allegri’s side.
In the Champions League, Juventus face Atletico Madrid on Wednesday night in the first-leg of their last-16 tie and will be determined to seal a place in the quarter-finals.
However, the Old Lady are already out of the Coppa Italia after a 3-0 humbling to Atalanta in the quarter-finals.
