‘More assists than Jorginho’ - Spurs fans troll Chelsea after forgotten man becomes hero vs Fulham

Tottenham’s Georges-Kevin N’Koudou has made a tongue in cheek Twitter post following his vital assist in Sunday’s 2-1 win over Fulham.

Spurs came from behind to win 2-1 at Craven Cottage with N’Koudou, making his first Premier League appearance for the club since October 2017, delivering a 93rd-minute cross for Harry Winks’ winning goal.

N’Koudou was drafted into the squad as a result of Mauricio Pochettino being very short in the attacking department, with Harry Kane injured and Son Heung-Min away on international duty, and managed to contribute the assist despite being in the pitch for just seven minutes.

And following the game, the Frenchman made a post to Twitter that read: “Helloooo u remember me? #COYS.”

The assist is N’Koudou’s first in a Premier League game and helped Spurs to a win that moves them four points clear of Chelsea and nine points behind leaders, Liverpool.

The 23-year-old had been reportedly on the verge of an exit from north London in the current transfer window, with former club Marseille a rumoured destination.

However, with the club being so short on attacking options, coupled with his decisive impact from the bench on Sunday, that situation may well be reviewed.

Spurs face Chelsea in the League Cup semi-final second leg on Thursday.

Fans react to N’Koudou’s assist

Spurs fans were quick to react to their unexpected hero’s tweet, with one eagle-eyed supporter even pointing out that N’Koudou already has more assists than Chelsea’s ‘pass master’, Jorginho.
