Napoli manager Carlo Ancelotti has accused his former club Paris Saint-Germain of tapping up midfielder Allan, but insists the player’s future remains in Italy.
The Brazilian enforcer has been a near ever-present for the Partenopei this season and has attracted attention from the French giants.

It is believed PSG offered an astronomical figure to prise Allan away from the San Paolo Stadium, but Napoli knocked back the approach as it did not match their €100m valuation.
Speaking to reporters after Saturday’s 0-0 draw with AC Milan, Ancelotti shed light on the situation, explaining how his former employers approached Allan without the club’s consent.
He said (via Football-Italia): “I won’t get into negotiations that are ongoing. As far as I am concerned, the matter is over, Allan will remain our player and we never intended to sell if not for something extraordinary.
“The player has been contacted, even though that shouldn’t happen, and we listened to his requests, after which nothing happened. He will stay with us and play on Tuesday.”
Allan started on Tuesday night as AC Milan beat last season’s Serie A runners-up 2-0 at the San Siro in the quarter-final of the Coppa Italia. Next up for Ancelotti and Co is a home fixture against Sampdoria on Saturday.
‘Allan is very important for us and will be in future too’
Allan was dropped for the match against Milan on Sunday amid uncertainty surrounding his future, but he was reintroduced to the starting XI on Tuesday as Napoli were eliminated from the Coppa Italia.
The Rossoneri put two past Ancelotti’s men and Allan was withdrawn at half-time, but the manager is adamant that it was a tactical move, and has stressed the importance of the midfielder to his plans.
“He played his game, as did everyone,” he told Bein Sports.
“I didn’t replace him because he played badly, but because I wanted to open the spaces up with another forward.
“Allan is our player, he had some temptation, but is very important for us and will be in future too.
“He just hasn’t trained much lately, which is why he hasn’t been playing as much.”
