When is Juventus vs Manchester United?
Competition: Uefa Champions League
Venue: Allianz Stadium
Date: Wednesday, 7 November
Kick-off: 8:00 PM BST
Match preview
When these sides last met at Old Trafford two weeks ago, Juventus took control of Group H with a slender 1-0 win thanks to Paulo Dybala.
And the Old Lady will fancy themselves to repeat that victory when they welcome United to Turin on Wednesday. Though Jose Mourinho’s side have shown signs of growth since the defeat, there are also still many weaknesses which a better team will exploit.
Against Bournemouth at the weekend the Red Devils were exposed on too many occasions and would have been out of the match by half-time had the Cherries taken their chances.
Meanwhile, Juventus are silently marching on Serie A, already six points clear at the top having dropped just two points. Last time out the Old Lady overcame a tough-looking contest against Cagliari with a 3-1 victory.
The first game between Juventus and Manchester United saw Cristiano Ronaldo return to Old Trafford to celebration from the Red Devils faithful. But now it is time for Paul Pogba to return to his former home, having spent four years at the Allianz Stadium endearing himself to the Old Lady fans.
But whether he will enjoy the same success Ronaldo did at Old Trafford two weeks ago remains to be seen.

The game is also available to watch on fuboTV.
How can Juventus secure their last-16 spot?
Juventus are currently five points clear at the top of Group H in the Champions League after three games, and could secure their spot in the last-16 with a draw against United if Valencia fail to beat Young Boys with the Spanish side seven points behind the Old Lady.
But, in more simple terms, if Juventus beat United on Wednesday they will qualify as group winners, unreachable on 12 points with United then only capable of reaching 10 and Valencia 11.
Should United prioritise the Manchester derby?
Even if they lose to Juventus on Wednesday and Valencia win, overtaking them in Group H, United’s Champions League fate will still be in their own hands knowing two wins would see them qualify. But, just four days after the trip to Turin, United have arguably the biggest game of their season so far, against Premier League leaders and rivals Manchester City at the Etihad.
United are currently seventh in the Premier League, already nine points behind City, but a win against Pep Guardiola’s side could do a lot more for the Red Devils in the long-term so it might be wise to play Juventus with City in mind.
Can Juventus win the Champions League this season?
Upon Cristiano Ronaldo’s arrival in the summer, some had tipped Juventus to win the Champions League given the Portuguese’s record in the competition – having won four of the past five trophies with Real Madrid.
The Old Lady have had the perfect start to the Champions League this season, scoring six unanswered goals in three wins so far. But according to Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri, his side are still not the favourites.
He said: “This year the favourite for the Champions League is Barcelona, but we are amongst the top four.”
Head-to-head
Manchester United and Juventus have had differing starts to their seasons with Juventus failing to win just one of their 14 matches in all competitions while United are only recently returning to form having failed to win eight times in their opening 15, including five defeats.
Wednesday’s match will be the 14th time in total United and Juventus have faced off, with the Old Lady coming out on top in the most recent meeting at Old Trafford two weeks ago. However, United have perhaps the more high-profile win against Juventus, beating the Italian side in 1999 en route to winning the Champions League.
Despite the recent wins for United, both the Red Devils and Juventus have won five of the previous meetings with another two games finishing in draws.
Juventus wins: 6 Draws: 2 Manchester United wins: 5
Team news
Juventus could be without Douglas Costa, Blaise Matuidi and Mario Mandzukic for the game against Manchester United on Wednesday with the trio all injury doubts. Costa is currently undergoing physiotherapy for a muscle problem, Matuidi sustained a bruise on his right hip while Mandzukic is only in light training after a recurrence of an ankle problem.
Meanwhile, Romelu Lukaku will face a late fitness test to see whether he can play against Juventus having missed the weekend’s win over Bournemouth due to injury. However, Marouane Fellaini, Diogo Dalot and Antonio Valencia remain out.
Predicted Juventus XI: Szczesny; Cancelo, Bonucci, Chiellini, Sandro; Pjanic, Matuidi, Khedira; Cuadrado, Dybala, Ronaldo.
Predicted Manchester United XI: De Gea; Young, Smalling, Lindelof, Shaw; Matic, Pogba, Herrera; Martial, Sanchez, Rashford.
Squawka Prediction
Manchester United may have improved slightly but Juventus will yet again prove to be too tall of an ask. An easy 3-1 win for Juventus.
Predictions & Betting Tips
1. Anthony Martial to score anytime @ 10/3
After what was beginning to look like another mediocre season for Anthony Martial at Manchester United, the Frenchman has quickly become indispensable.
Scoring again during the weekend win over Bournemouth, Martial has scored in four of his past five games for United across all competitions, only failing to net against Juventus in the previous meeting.
In those five games, however, Martial has managed five goals and is United’s top scorer in all competitions with six altogether.
Key Stat: No Manchester United player has scored more goals than Martial (42) since his debut in 2015.

2. Cristiano Ronaldo to score first @ 3/1
Cristiano Ronaldo may not have netted on his return to Old Trafford two weeks ago, but United are travelling to the Portuguese’s new home and that can only mean goals.
The former United forward has scored seven goals in 13 games across all competitions for Juventus, though all of those have come in Serie A so far.
But, as the Champions League’s all-time record scorer with 120 goals, it is high time Ronaldo found himself back on the score sheet in the competition.
Key Stat: Cristiano Ronaldo has scored in two of his four appearances against Manchester United.

3. Juventus to win and both teams to score @ 5/2
The previous meeting between the sides was a tense fixture but this time around United need to be more attacking if they want to leave Turin with their pride.
Juventus are yet to concede in the Champions League this season but have failed to keep a clean sheet in their past two Serie A games since the 1-0 win at Old Trafford.
But they should still have enough in attack to break down United and secure their passage into the last-16.
Key Stat: Manchester United have not kept a clean sheet in their past five games in all competitions.
Tip: Juventus to win and both teams to score @ 5/2 with BetBull – bet here
