'Better than Morata' - Chelsea fans react after loanee scores first senior hat-trick in crazy first half

On-loan Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham took just 36 minutes to score a hat-trick on Wednesday evening for current club Aston Villa in their Championship clash with Nottingham Forest.

After Forest went 2-0 up inside six minutes, Abraham struck with a header from the centre of the box to the bottom-left corner to bring Villa back into the match.

Next, his left-footed shot from close range found the centre of the goal to bring the two sides level.

With Forest scoring to once again go ahead in the match, Abraham was able to complete his hat-trick from the penalty spot, which was dispatched with ease.

Abraham vs Morata

The two strikers have had contrasting fortunes on the football pitch this season, with Abraham embarrassing Morata with the number of goals he already has this season.

Admittedly, the Championship is a far easier league to score with regularity than the Premier League, but Abraham has increasingly looked more likely to get on the scoresheet with Morata’s form lacking any real intent or desire.

The 21-year-old has now scored nine goals in 13 appearances for Aston Villa since his summer loan move to the Midlands club, who narrowly missed out on promotion last season.

In contrast, Morata has scored five goals in 12 appearances in the Premier League, but Chelsea fans have been unhappy with the form of the Spaniard for quite some time.

Chelsea fans react to Abraham’s hat-trick

The Blues have been feeling just that with their centre-forwards this season, with neither Morata or Olivier Giroud scoring the goals that Chelsea need to continue their push for the Premier League title.

Abraham’s hat-trick and decent form for Villa has only gone and rubbed salt into the wounds, with Twitter going crazy following the youngster’s hat-trick this evening.
