Arsenal fans question club legend after he declares his love for Spurs star

Arsenal legend Ian Wright is mesmerised by Son Heung-min’s “goal and a half” against Everton on Sunday.

Spurs went down after 21 minutes to Theo Walcott’s effort. Walcott latched on to Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s pass to smash the ball in through the legs of Hugo Lloris between the sticks.

Spurs equalised five minutes later with an absolutely superb finish from Son which had Ian Wright, who described the South Korean’s moment of genius as a “goal and a half” on Twitter, with he rest of social media exploding with excitement.

Son scored after Harry Kane’s long ball flummoxed Kurt Zouma and Jordan Pickford who both rushed out to meet it. Zouma left the ball in the end, but it bounced of the ‘keeper towards Son who still had plenty to do from the right side of the penalty area, but the South Korean finished superbly, burying it into the top corner.

Goals from Dele Alli and Harry Kane gave Spurs the lead at half time, and after the break Christian Eriksen gave the visitors a fourth.

Son could miss at least four matches for Tottenham in the new year after being called up to South Korea’s AFC Asian Cup squad, leaving his club without him for potentially three separate competitions in January. Son will miss the EFL Cup semi-final second leg against Chelsea, the fourth round of the FA Cup (if Spurs are in it) and league matches against Fulham, Watford and possibly Newcastle United.

The 26-year-old will join up with South Korea after Tottenham’s Premier League encounter with Man United on January 13.
