Spurs will be coming into this fixture brimming with confidence thanks to a run of four straight wins in which they have scored 12 goals.
Half of those goals came in the recent 6-2 victory at Goodison Park that showed everyone just how much of a threat Spurs carry as they prepare to face a Bournemouth side who have lost six of their last eight in the Premier League.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side are the first team in the competition’s history to have amassed more than 40 points after 18 Premier League games only to remain in third place.
League leaders Liverpool will remain top whatever happens on Boxing Day due to their 48 points. Spurs could, however, leapfrog Manchester City and move into second should they beat Bournemouth and Pep Guardiola’s side lose to Leicester.
When is Tottenham vs Bournemouth?

Team News
Tottenham have a surprisingly long injury list with Dele Alli the latest player in doubt after he came off at half-time in the victory over Everton. Eric Dier, Victor Wanyama, Mousa Dembele, Serge Aurier and Jan Vertonghen are also out.
The good news for Spurs is that their other three attacking threats – Son Heung-Min, Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen – are all available, while Luca Moura or Erik Lamela can be called on to replace the missing member of Pochettino’s ‘Fantastic Four’ should Dele not be passed fit.
Bournemouth, meanwhile, remain without Adam Smith, Dan Gosling and Lewis Cook but have no fresh injury concerns.
Ryan Fraser came off the bench on Saturday to provide his eighth assist of the season and will likely start on Wednesday.
The Cherries will be looking to consolidate their position in the top half of the Premier League table and could play with a fairly attacking style using King and Wilson as the main outlets.
