“It’s happened again for Liverpool, hasn’t it?” – Champions League quarter-final predictions

The draw for the 2018/19 Champions League quarter-finals took place on Friday morning and threw up an all-Premier League tie between Manchester City and Tottenham along with a repeat of the 2009 and 2011 finals, Manchester United v Barcelona.

The draw leaves City favourites while Liverpool, who face Porto, are deemed the second-most likely English club to win the Champions League this season.

Ajax v Juventus complete the set, while a newly introduced feature of the draws means we have an idea of how the semi-finals will look. The winner of Man City v Spurs faces whoever comes through Ajax v Juventus. If Liverpool beat Porto, last season’s runners-up are to play eternal rivals Man Utd, or a team who have poached two of their best players in recent seasons, Barcelona.

This means, of course, we might be treated to a Lionel Messi v Cristiano Ronaldo final, or as it would otherwise be known, Barcelona v Juventus.

With that all out the way, now we can get down to the business of predictions. You can see Statman Dave’s in the video above.
