PSG boss Thomas Tuchel says he is not bothered by suggestions Real Madrid want to sign Kylian Mbappe and Neymar, claiming “everyone wants” the pair.
Tuchel was responding to recent comments from Madrid president, Florentino Perez, who said he would “sign both” when asked which one he would prefer following Zinedine Zidane’s return as manager.
Could Neymar and Mbappe move to Madrid? Four key things to know…
- Neymar and Mbappe have scored a combined 50 goals for PSG this season so far.
- However, the pair couldn’t stop the Parisians crashing out of the Champions League, with Neymar injured.
- They have been linked with Real before, with Florentino Perez stating he would like to sign both players.
- Zinedine Zidane has returned as manager of Real Madrid, after initially resigning last year.
The pair have been linked with a switch to Los Blancos for some time now but Tuchel has brushed these latest comments aside.
“It’s normal because everyone wants Neymar, Mbappe, [Marco] Verratti or Marquinhos on their team, it does not bother me to say that,” Tuchel told reporters following PSG’s 4-0 win over Dijon on Tuesday.
“They are top players but they are our players and it’s the most important.”
Mbappe and Neymar have both been in sensational form this season, scoring a combined 50 goals in all competitions for PSG.
Neymar continues to recover from a broken metatarsal injury, and he recently came under investigation from Uefa for comments he made after defeat to Man Utd in the Champions League.

Tuchel happy with PSG response following Man Utd defeat
PSG suffered the embarrassment of another premature Champions League exit last week, throwing away a 2-0 lead from the first leg and going down 3-1 at home to Manchester United.
However, the Parisians responded with a 4-0 win away at Dijon in Ligue 1 and Tuchel insists he is pleased with the response of his players.
“I was waiting for that because the team made a good impression during the training,” the former Dortmund boss said. “We talked a lot. I was very calm and convinced that we are able to show and start again.
“It was a good opportunity to play again together. Having talked a lot about this match against Manchester, the team did things well with a lot of good qualities, a good pace, we scored four goals, created a lot of opportunities.
“It was a first step to show that we could react like champions. It’s a good reaction, we still have goals, we want to win competitions [which remain], the championship, the Coupe de France.”
Next up for PSG is a home Ligue 1 match against Marseille on Sunday.
