Mats Hummels has said Liverpool’s second goal at the Allianz Arena stripped Bayern Munich of their belief on Wednesday night.
Liverpool booked their place in the Champions League quarter-finals with a 3-1 victory in the second leg of the Round of 16 tie in Germany.

Bayern had been confident going into the game after beating Wolfsburg 6-0 in the Bundesliga in their previous outing.
But Liverpool powered through to ensure all four Premier League teams are in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
And Bayern defender Hummels thinks the Reds’ second goal took the wind out of his side’s sails.
“I know Jurgen Klopp and he is very good at eliminating the opponents’ strengths and he showed that again today,” Hummels said, according to Sky Sports.
“The 1-2 took away our belief. After that Liverpool was the better team. Still this was not a great game of football.”

Bayern still aiming for trophies – Kovac
Niko Kovac echoed Hummels comments after the game, admitting Liverpool showed their level of quality after Van Dijk’s goal.
The Bayern boss went on to insist the Bavarians are still aiming to win the Bundesliga and the German Cup by the end of the season.
“You saw after the second goal how much quality they have,” Kovac said.
“We still have two titles to fight for. We’re top in the Bundesliga and we’re still in the cup. Our goal is to win both of these competitions.”
