Chelsea will be looking to continue their unbeaten start to the Premier League season when they host Everton at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
Maurizio Sarri has made an excellent start to life in England, with Chelsea currently second in the Premier League table, just two points behind leaders Manchester City and above Liverpool on goal difference.
Meanwhile, Everton are ninth having won four of their last five league games, including last week’s victory over Brighton. The Toffees will be hoping to spring a surprise at the Bridge, but it certainly won’t be an easy task.

Match preview
Chelsea beat Everton twice at Stamford Bridge last season. In their first clash, the Blues won 2-0 in the Premier League before Antonio Conte’s men added to that with a 2-1 win in the League Cup.
That’s despite Chelsea having a distinctly average season, aside from their FA Cup triumph. Everton, too, had a poor 2017/18 campaign, but both sides are striving to improve this term.
Sarri’s men look nailed on to finish in the top four at least and could even challenge Manchester City for the Premier League title. They have won eight of their 11 matches so far, drawing the other three and remain the only unbeaten side in Europe’s top leagues.

The Londoners will know that beating the likes of Everton at home is a must if they are to push for the title, but Marco Silva’s side are no pushovers. Indeed, the Toffees have lost only three league games so far this season, the same number as Manchester United and Tottenham.
That said, they have already lost to Arsenal and Manchester United away from home and Chelsea will surely be confident of dispatching the Merseysiders.
It would certainly be a surprise to see Everton beat Chelsea in the Premier League for the first time since September 2015.

Can Chelsea keep up their unbeaten start?
Chelsea lost 3-2 at home to Burnley on the opening day of the previous campaign, but they have proved impossible to beat so far this season. They’ve won all but two of their matches at Stamford Bridge, drawing against Liverpool and Manchester United.
A twelfth game unbeaten would strengthen Chelsea’s already robust title credentials, although they are already at the stage where they can no longer afford to drop points if they are to keep up with Manchester City, especially at home. Only a win will do.
Are Everton really the ‘best of the rest’?
Everton are aiming to consolidate – or reclaim – their title as the ‘best of the rest’ in the Premier League this season. In other words, their objective is to finish in seventh place. The top six looks impenetrable despite Bournemouth’s fine start, so Everton can’t really expect any better than seventh.
A worrying home defeat against West Ham aside, the Toffees are just about living up to that label this term, or at least they look equipped to push for a European place. Getting a result at Chelsea will boost their chances of doing so all the more.
Will Ross Barkley shine against his old club?
Ross Barkley experienced a difficult first few months at Chelsea following his move from Everton in January. He arrived at the Bridge with a hamstring injury and only managed to make four appearances in the second half of last season, leading to questions about his long-term future once again.
But the midfielder has been in inspired form under new manager Sarri this term, scoring three goals and breaking back into the England first-team picture. It will be interesting to see whether he is driven or demotivated by the prospect of playing against his boyhood club on Sunday.
Head-to-head
Chelsea have a better record than Everton overall, winning 72 of the 176 meetings dating back to the first ever encounter in 1907.
The Londoners are unbeaten in their last five clashes with Everton in all competitions, winning four.
Chelsea wins: 72
Draws: 53
Everton wins: 54

Marco Silva said on Friday that the Brazilian forward faces a late fitness test having missed training for most of this week.

3. Gylfi Sigurdsson to score at any time @ 3/1
No other club has conceded more goals to Gylfi Sigurdsson than Chelsea, although the Londoners are on par with seven others clubs who the Iceland international has scored four goals against. Sigurdsson has scored five times in 11 league appearances so far this season, so Chelsea must be wary of his threat.
