Paulo Dybala reveals what he said to Jose Mourinho after Juventus’ Man Utd defeat

Juventus forward Paulo Dybala has insisted he did not insult Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho following their Champions League match in midweek.

United came from a goal down to win 2-1 in Turin on Wednesday, handing the Old Lady their first defeat of the season in all competitions.

Following the final whistle, Mourinho taunted Juventus fans by cupping his ear towards the stands, later revealing the Bianconeri faithful had been insulting him throughout the match.

Several Juventus players then went up to confront Mourinho about his actions, including Dybala, but the Argentine has since revealed the words exchanged were not heated.

“I just told him that there was no need to make that gesture,” he told Sky Sport Italia.

“There was no need to create more tension than there already was, sometimes you get insulted and it’s bad, but to create more tension than there already is…

“I told him there was no need, I didn’t insult him. I just told him that and left.”

United’s late comeback also brought the first goals Juventus had conceded in the Champions League this season, opening up Group H with two games left to play.

Dybala hails Juventus’ new fluid attack

Following the summer signing of Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid, Juventus have a wealth of options in attack with the likes of Dybala, Mario Mandzukic, Federico Bernardeschi and Douglas Costa.

And while Dybala believes the way Massimiliano Allegri sets his side up will help Juventus do more damage to their opponents, the Argentine feels it must be difficult to pick which players to use.

“The boss has given us a little more freedom to move around and I think that way we can do more damage to our opponents,” he added.

“Cristiano Ronaldo is a player who moves to the left more, but he moves around a lot and in fact, the goal I scored in Manchester came from his cross from the right.

“When Mario plays he’s more of a reference point, and then there’s also Douglas and Bernardeschi, so we have a lot of options in attack.

“I think the coach definitely finds it difficult to put all of us in because we’re playing really well and there’s a really good level in attack. I don’t think it’s easy for him.”
