Champions League line-ups: confirmed XIs and team news Liverpool & Spurs

After an interesting round of fixtures on Tuesday, the Champions League returns once more with some big names involved.

Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to get their first points of the group when they take on PSV Eindhoven in the Netherlands in one of the two early kick-offs.

And Mauricio Pochettino is going all out for the points, recalling Christian Eriksen to the starting XI after his cameo appearance against West Ham United at the weekend following a return from injury.

The Dane joins a midfield consisting of Eric Dier, Mousa Dembele, Lucas and Son Heung-min with Harry Kane leading the attack.

PSV, meanwhile, have made just one change from the team which started in their 6-0 win over FC Emmen at the weekend with Donyell Malen replacing the injured Steven Bergwijn.

Liverpool vs Red Star Belgrade

With Paris Saint-Germain and Napoli facing off in the other game in Group C, Liverpool will have the chance to take control with a win over Red Star Belgrade – which is expected.

But the Reds will be without captain Jordan Henderson and midfielder Naby Keita, who are both struggling with injury issues.

“It’s not too good, to be honest,” Klopp told Liverpool’s official website on Tuesday.

“It’s nothing we have to worry too much about, but it’s a hamstring issue so we will have to see. He will not be available for tomorrow for sure, and probably not Cardiff, but hopefully then he can be back. We will see.

“Naby is already outside running, but the game tomorrow will be too early for sure.

Liverpool welcome Red Star to Anfield on Wednesday evening but the Serbian side will be travelling without their fans following a punishment by UEFA after a pitch invasion in their play-off draw against  Red Bull Salzburg.
