Only one player has created more clear-cut chances in the Premier League this season than David Silva

Manchester City‘s David Silva has created the most chances in the Premier League so far, but Ryan Fraser’s creativity has been more important to his team.

The Bournemouth man has made a significant contribution to the Cherries’ surprising success this term and his creativity in midfield is really shining through.

Bournemouth currently sit sixth in the Premier League and are only two points behind a place in the top four after completing 10 league games so far.

This is, in no small part, due to the creative efforts made by the Scotland international who has played phenomenally well so far and has equaled the amount of chances created by Chelsea star Eden Hazard with 25. The Scot has also created the most clear-cut chances in the league this season with 11, two more than Silva and five more than Hazard.

Fraser also leads the league in the number of assists created for his team mates alongside Manchester City’s Benjamin Mendy, with five created so far.

El Mago the key creative force from open play

Silva is arguably enjoying the greatest spell of his career at the Etihad this term. He has become an almost irrepressible force at the heart of City’s attack with his light touch and unmatched judgement in possession.

This is reflected in the stats, as Silva emerged to lead the league in the number of chances created after an exemplary performance against Spurs on Monday night. The Spain international has created 31 chances for his team mates this term, and has registered two assists so far in the league.

As well as leading the way in the Premier League, the diminutive playmaker has engineered the most chances from open play in Europe’s top five leagues this season (28).
