It is always a taxing task trying to pick a FIFA Ultimate Team kit, but everyone knows it is an essential part of building a successful team.

The greatest footballing triumphs have always been remembered for the iconic kits that accompanied those en route to success, brining back feelings of nostalgia and reminiscence for fans at the time – that is how powerful a kit can be.

So choosing one should never be disparaged, instead it should require careful consideration and thought; unfortunately this season’s Ultimate Team is awash with a number of scintillating strips and eye-catching outfits, guaranteed to give off selection headaches.

With that considered, Squawka have taken a look at the best kits so far on Fifa 19 Ultimate Team, ranking them on aesthetics, sentimentality and overall appeal.

16. Lazio (home)

A sleek design that really encapsulates the famous white and sky blue colours of the aptly named Biancocelesti. Macron have also done a fantastic job of giving the club’s iconic eagle more prominence.

15. Real Madrid (third) 

An eye-catching number fit for flair players and rip-roaring teams such is the boisterous manner of Real Madrid’s third kit this season – you would struggle to see a Sam Allardyce-esque team donning these flashy colours.

14. Leeds United (away)

How fitting that Leeds United catered to Loco Bielsa’s arrival with this rather zany and outlandish away strip; a sure-fire kit for those looking to emulate the Argentine’s fluid philosophy.

13. Kaizer Chiefs (home)

A luxurious all gold design with definitive black detailing, this Amakhosi strip would be fit for royalty. It makes sense then that the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg holds circa 100,000, as this is a kit meant for the grandest of all stages.

12. Real Betis (away)

Mixing green with green was always a bold move, but Betis have pulled it out of the bag here. The contrast in green shades makes for a very enticing and unique look.

11. Germany (away)

A rather classy and graceful strip; it is a shame then that a player of Mesut Ozil’s grandeur will not be seen wearing this kit anytime soon, but this could be the perfect opportunity to rekindle that once beautiful marriage on Ultimate Team.

10. Paris Saint-Germain (third)

The collaboration between two of sports most iconic brands was an obvious marketing strategy, but in fairness to Jordan and PSG, they produced an epic yet subtle kit here.

9. Manchester United (third) 

For those who want to sport the iconic kit of Manchester United, but perhaps don’t want to exude the audacious red complexion, this ingenious navy outfit made entirely from recycled ocean plastic offers a more classy alternative.

8. RB Leipzig (third)

Another club who massively deviated from there traditional colours, the Bulls opted for a stylish black and white combination for their third kit, which is certain to leave the fashionistas among us purring.

7. Parma (third)

Parma’s much-anticipated return to the top flight has fittingly coincided with the release of this variegated third kit, with the club’s yellow and blue colours accompanying the all black strip.

6. Atletico Madrid (third) 

Atletico Madrid’s take on an Andy Warhol painting is a solid effort, contrasting the orange and blue tinge with a robust pattern on the front that makes for a very striking strip.

5. Eintracht Frankfurt

Another sharp and classy all black kit that needs no eccentric patterning or outlandish detail to enhance its beauty.

4. Moreirense (home)

The disorderly green and white diamonds could have gone one of two ways, fortunately for Moreirense the club have produced this absolute gem, with both colours complementing each other while the gold lines add a nice finishing touch.

3. V-Varen-Nagasaki (home)

An eye-catching strip, to say the least, but one that looks brilliant on FIFA this year. V-Varen have boldly opted to combine bright blue and bright orange on this strip, but they’ve definitely pulled it off.

2. Inter Milan (third)

Inter Milan kits tend to be spot on, but Nike have taken this third kit to a whole new level with its chic marble hue and silvery cross pattern, which took inspiration from the Milano Duomo – an elegant kit for attacking teams.

1. Galatasaray (third)

This is more a piece of artwork than a football kit, Galatasaray really thought outside the box when they came up with this idea. The Aslanlar kit would be perfect for  teams with a lightning quick attack and electric forward play.
