Monaco have announced that the club have taken measures to suspend Thierry Henry from his managerial role while his future is decided.
The Arsenal legend took the helm in the Principality just three months ago, following the dismissal of Leonardo Jardim, but he now looks set to leave the club after a dismal start to his tenure.
Monaco are currently second-last in Ligue 1, just one point off the foot of the table, with the 41-year-old winning just two league matches in 12 outings.
Henry’s boyhood club were lurking in 18th position upon his introduction on the French Riviera, but after further problems and on and off the pitch, the club have slipped further down the table.
Les Monegasques have come in for scathing criticism this season, often looking dysfunctional and error-prone, while the January signing of Cesc Fabregas is yet to alleviate the current frustration.
The club released this statement on their official website: “AS Monaco announces that it has decided to suspend its duties as coach of the first team Thierry Henry from this day and waiting for a final decision.
“Franck Passi will train the professional group this Friday.”

Monaco have not won a league match in five attempts, with the club’s last victory coming at the start of December against Amiens.
Since then, the 2016/17 Ligue 1 champions have suffered defeats against bottom of the table Guingamp as well as losing 5-1 to Strasbourg earlier this month.
Henry’s reign also came into question when he was forced to apologise to Kenny Lala after defeat against Strasbourg with the former striker caught on camera insulting the player.
