The early season form of Maurizio Sarri’s Chelsea side has taken many supporters by surprise, with the Italian afforded such little time to work with his new team in pre-season.
But take a closer look at the squad at his disposal and is it really that shocking to see the Blues towards the top of the table?
Eden Hazard was always going to thrive playing under Sarri, whilst summer additions Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic are classy performers in the middle of the park.
Chelsea are also very, very fun to play with on FIFA 19. Perhaps more fun than ever. The pace of the likes of Hazard, Willian and Pedro in the wide areas, with N’Golo Kante covering every blade of grass and Jorginho pinging sublime passes all over the park is very effective.
But just how highly have EA Sports rated Chelsea’s squad for this season? Read on for the ratings of every Chelsea player on FIFA 19 below.
Chelsea’s FIFA 19 ratings: goalkeepers
There was, of course, big changes to this position for Chelsea in the summer. Thibaut Courtois got his desired move to Real Madrid, which saw Chelsea make Kepa Arrizabalaga the most expensive goalkeeper of all time when they signed him from Athletic Club for £71m. We’re not forgetting the signing of Rob Green, either!
Kepa’s FIFA 19 rating isn’t quite as strong as Courtois’ at the moment, but he still has an impressive card this season. In fact, with a potential rating of 91, Arrizabalaga has the sixth-highest potential in the Premier League.

Chelsea’s FIFA 19 ratings: defenders
The Blues’ standout defender on FIFA 19 is Cesar Azpilicueta. Despite his change of position under Maurizio Sarri this season, the Spaniard is still currently listed as a centre-back.
Elsewhere, Marcos Alonso has an impressive card and is listed as a LB rather than a LWB. David Luiz, Gary Cahill, Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen also feature.
FUT tip: Marcos Alonso has an improved card this season and deservedly so. We think both him and Antonio Rudiger could be clever and cheap Chelsea additions to your FIFA 19 Ultimate Team side.

Chelsea’s FIFA 19 ratings: midfielders
The Blues’ midfield underwent something of an overhaul in the summer window, with Sarri bringing in Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic after his arrival from Napoli.
World Cup winner N’Golo Kante has a hugely exciting card this season and high ratings for Jorginho, Kovacic and Cesc Fabregas mean Chelsea boast a very strong set of midfield options on FIFA 19.
FUT tip: Mateo Kovacic will be a shrewd addition to your Ultimate Team this season: 86 dribbling, 82 passing and 79 pace make the Croatian the dynamic midfield player your team will need on FIFA 19.

Chelsea’s FIFA 19 ratings: forwards
In Eden Hazard Chelsea have the sixth highest-rated player on FIFA 19. His stats this year are better than ever: 94 dribbling and 91 pace will make the Belgian one of the hardest players to defend on this year’s game.
Willian has also been given an strong rating this year, but Pedro may not be too happy with his 76 pace rating.
FUT tip: He may not be in great form so far this season, but we expect Alvaro Morata to be a very useful player on Ultimate Team and someone that is only likely to cost you around 8k as it stands.
