On-loan Everton midfielder Nikola Vlasic has slammed the football played under Sam Allardyce, adding he believes he has no future at the club.
The 21-year-old arrived at Goodison Park during Ronald Koeman’s tenure in 2017 but quickly fell out of favour following the Dutchman’s sacking, hardly featuring under Allardyce.

Vlasic is now on loan at CSKA Moscow after failing to impress new Everton boss Marco Silva but has scored seven goals in 20 appearances for the Russian club, including the winning goal in a 1-0 Champions League victory over Real Madrid back in October.
“Everything changed after Koeman left. The football played by Big Sam was awful, if it could even be called football,” Vlasic told Croatian newspaper Sportske Novosti.
“In such football, I do not have a place. The football team was terrified by everything, the fans mostly.”
Despite being loaned out by Marco Silva, Vlasic did speak of his admiration for the footballing ethos being installed by the Portuguese, adding that, despite Everton’s poor form, it is a style which will be far better received by supporters.
“This season, Marco Silva plays different, much nicer football, but has not got results,” Vlasic added.
“It is true that Everton did not make an expected breakthrough but at least fans now look at the normal football in which the guys, through their actions, are trying to score and win.”
Vlasic expects to be sold to the ‘first bidder’
Despite only arriving at the club less than 18 months ago, four-time Croatia international Vlasic does not believe he has a future at Everton.
The former Hajduk Split man believes the large investment in the likes of Richarlison over the summer, as well as Everton bringing in three players from Barcelona, shows the club doesn’t have ‘much care for those who came from a small league’.
Asked whether he thought he may have a chance next season, he replied: “Honestly, I do not believe.
“Everton paid about £90million on only three players – Richarlison, [Yerry] Mina and [Lucas] Digne – and is, therefore, looking for great names and players from big clubs, like Barcelona.
“Despite these immense investments the team is currently in the 11th place, which means there will be new, big purchases.
“When you bring three players out of Barcelona in a few days (Mina, Digne and on-loan Andre Gomes) then it’s clear that you do not have much care for those who came from the small league.
“So I expect them to sell me as soon as they get their first bid.”
