Aurelio De Laurentiis has lashed out at his former manager Maurizio Sarri, claiming he has attempted to dismantle Napoli‘s team since arriving at Chelsea.
Sarri’s first signing since arriving Stamford Bridge was his former pass-master general Jorginho which De Laurentiis claims was sanctioned after tactical discussions with Carlo Ancelotti, Sarri’s replacement in Naples.
However, De Laurentiis has warned Sarri against making any future approached for his players, while criticising the Chelsea manager’s treatment of Napoli players in training.
“I didn’t like it when he said that we both made mistakes,” De Laurentiis told Sky Sports Italia. “I don’t think I made any.
“I wasn’t wrong not to challenge him even if it would have been most obvious thing.
“He had a contract so I could have said something because he was acting in an unacceptable manner, going against players he didn’t think were very good.
“These players gave him a lot. He massacred them in his fantastic training sessions but they always responded well.”
De Laurentiis went on to claim that Sarri intended to take his whole team to England, but he blocked him after a chat with Chelsea’s director Marina Granovskaia.
“After that, he wanted to take my whole team to England and dismantle it. I had to lay down the law to Marina.
“He wanted Jorginho and I gave him away after I talked to Ancelotti, who told me he was banking a lot on [Amadou] Diawara and that he wanted to play [Marek] Hamsik deeper.”

So far, Jorginho is the only player the Blues have recruited this summer while star players Eden Hazard and Willian could be heading towards the exit door in search of Champions League football.
Losing those players would be a major blow for the club if they want to challenge run-away champions Manchester City for their crown this season.
The west Londoners will also face fierce competition from a Manchester United side stacked with world-class talent, a reinvigorated Liverpool side who are preparing to mount their most serious challenge for a league title since 2013/14, and London rivals Tottenham Hotspur who have been threatening to win big for the past few seasons.
Chelsea will open their Premier League campaign against Huddersfield Town on 11 August.
