Juventus manager Max Allegri has refused to confirm whether the Serie A champions are interested in re-signing Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba this summer.
Pogba made 178 appearances for Juventus between 2012 and 2016, scoring 34 goals and winning four Italian top-flight titles.
The Frenchman joined Juventus from United, who he returned to in 2016 for a then world-record fee of £89.3m.
This summer, rumours of a potential return to Turin have emerged after a mixed two years in England for Pogba.
But Juventus boss Allegri sidestepped the question when asked about a possible move for the 25-year-old, who won the World Cup with France earlier this month.
“I can only say I’m happy for having seen him grown up in an important competition like the World Cup,” Allegri said, according to Goal.
“He played with great personality. Compared to the past, he matured a lot.”
Juve Pogba vs United Pogba
Pogba’s best season at Juventus came in 2015/16, when he scored 10 goals across all competitions and provided 12 assists in Serie A, more than any other player.
He scored nine goals in all competitions during his first season back at Old Trafford, but only managed six in 2017/18.
In fairness, Pogba struggled with injuries last term and only made 37 appearances across all competitions, compared to 51 the season prior.
