Lazio manager Simone Inzaghi has confirmed the double signing of Milan Badelj and Joaquin Correa.
Croatian midfielder Badelj, 29, joins as a free agent having left Fiorentina this summer whilst 23-year-old Argentine international attacking-midfielder Correa arrives from Sevilla having previously represented Sampdoria in Serie A.
Inzaghi, who’s preparing for a third campaign in charge of the Rome-based club, is delighted with Lazio’s acquisitions feeling they’ll add something to a squad that finished just outside the Champions League places last season.
“Badelj is an important player and will improve us, while we’ve replaced Felipe Anderson with Correa,” he told reporters, via Football Italia.
“I’m satisfied with Correa’s arrival. He’s young and he has quality.”
Inzaghi’s managerial performance so far
Inzaghi, the brother of ‘Pippo’, permanently joined Lazio as manager in July 2016 having enjoyed a brief caretaker role.
So far, the former Eagles player, has presided over 98 matches winning 55 of those contests – giving him a 56% win success – whilst losing 24 times.
Under him Lazio have finished the last two Serie A seasons in fifth whilst lifting the 2017 Supercoppa Italiana.
Across all competitions they’ve registered 211 goals (or 2.15 per game) and conceded 133 in the process (once every 66 minutes).
