The name and crest of David Beckham’s Miami-based MLS team have been confirmed.
In a post on the club’s official Twitter page, it was revealed that it would be known as Club Internaćional De Fútbol Miami, or Inter Miami CF for short – the pink, black and white crest, inspired by Miami Vice, was also unveiled.
Four years ago, we dreamt of a soccer club.

The club’s formation comes at the end of a long process which began when David Beckham first came to the MLS with LA Galaxy back in 2007.
From the moment he joined the league, he made no secret of his desire to one day own a club in the United States and even had an option in his contract to purchase a $25 million MLS expansion team.
The club was granted a full league licence back in January.
Their permanent stadium is expected to be ready in 2021, with the club potentially competing in a temporary home as early as 2020, according to MLS commissioner Don Garber.
Meanwhile, there has been a mixed reaction on Twitter to the club’s announcement, with some being particularly perplexed by the club’s name.
