Premier League Fantasy Football tips: Three players to pick, and three to sell – gameweek 7

We are well underway into this new Premier League season, which means teams and players are starting to establish patterns of form and reputations.

There are some tasty fixtures this weekend. Chelsea and Liverpool play out a top-of-of-the-table clash at Stamford Bridge, Manchester United travel to east London to face West Ham and Arsenal host high-flying Watford at the Emirates.

With the matches coming thick and fast, it is only getting tougher to decide which players to introduce to your chosen Premier League Fantasy Football team, and which ones to remove.

So if you’re in need of some Fantasy Football tips for this weekend’s fixtures, take a look through the suggestions listed below.

The Fantasy Football signings to make:

Alexandre Lacazette

Cost: £9.5m

Why? The Gunners striker has finally started to find consistent form, just like his club – who are on a winning streak of six games across all competitions.

The Frenchman has scored twice in three Premier League matches and notched an assist and with Unai Emery attempting to utilise the talents of both Lacazette and Aubameyang in his starting eleven, the chance of more goals at home to Watford this weekend is perhaps too good to resist when deciding your Fantasy Football line-up this weekend.

Only two Premier League forwards have gained more points this season than Alexandre Lacazette (31).

James Maddison

Cost: £6.8m

Why? Leicester City’s new summer signing has hit the ground running in the opening six games of the new campaign. A step up into England’s biggest league hasn’t negatively impacted the level of performance that convinced the Foxes to spend big on the former Canary.

Having scored a goal every other game so far, as well as an assist, Maddison has established himself as a definite starter in Claude Puel’s side. A trip to Newcastle United may allow him the space he needs to create enough magic to secure some points.

Aleksandar Mitrović

Cost: £7m

Why? The 24-year-old Serbian didn’t take long to adjust to life back in the Premier League with his new club Fulham. His presence up front has caused many headaches for many high-profile defenders.

He has scored five goals in six matches and this weekend faces the prospect of a leaky and vulnerable Everton defence. Only Aguero has earned more Fantasy Football points than Mitrovic in terms of forwards, which is not bad at all for one of the cheaper first-choice forwards in the game.

The Fantasy Football players to sell:

Cesar Azpilicueta

Cost: £6.4m

Why? Chelsea’s Mr Dependable is just that, dependable. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean Fantasy points will be heading your way this weekend.

In fact, Azpulicueta rarely threatens the back of the net or provides an assist. His best bet is always Chelsea keeping a clean sheet, which may be impossible this weekend with the visitors to Stamford Bridge coming in the form of Liverpool who are six wins from six games.

Roberto Pereyra

Cost: £6.3m

Why? Watford are flying high in the Premier League table this season and that is partly down to the talents of this man.

However, they haven’t won in three matches, including the Football League Cup, Roberto Pereyra hasn’t scored or assisted since the end of August and the Hornets face a trip to Arsenal, who are in top form.

Glenn Murray

Cost: £6.5m

Why? Any critics Glenn Murray had have been put in their place. He has proven a constant goalscoring threat in the Premier League and a big part of Brighton’s survival last season.

Unfortunately for the Seagulls, they face a trip to Manchester City this weekend, with possession and chances surely set to be at a minimum for the 35-year-old, who has only scored once in three matches away from home so far this season.
