Bournemouth and Crystal Palace go head to head in this evening’s Monday Night Football clash with just three points separating the two teams going into the fixture.
Both teams have been rather hit and miss so far this season. One match, they look like a supreme attacking force, the next their defensive failings are highlighted and they fall to defeat.
This has been particularly the case for the home side as they look to bounce back from the 4-0 reverse to Burnley last time out in the Premier League.

The open and expansive nature of Eddie Howe’s approach means they will always cause teams problems, but they do sacrifice a goal or two at the back. The Cherries are not scared to have an end-to-end contest – particularly on home soil.
As for Palace, they have scored in every away game so far this season.

Everything Palace do well goes through Wilfried Zaha. He is their talisman, their main attacking threat and a constant thorn in the opposition defence.
After a summer of speculation linking him with a move away from the club, he seems to be at home with Palace and arguably playing the best football of his career.
If this turns out to be the open game we are expecting, Zaha will surely sign.

Speaking of Zaha, he is more than likely to invite a challenge or two from opponents. He’s been outspoken about this in the last few weeks and perhaps the referee will pay close attention to the approach Bournemouth take to stop him.
If any of the home side get pulled up on it, it could be Jefferson Lerma or Dan Gosling in midfield, should the latter return from injury. They tend to be the enforcers for Howe’s men and have picked up five bookings between them already.
