“We’ve never thought about his return” – Juventus deny interest in former midfielder Paul Pogba

Juventus are not interested in bringing former club midfielder Paul Pogba back to Italy from Manchester United, according to sporting director Fabio Paratici.

It is fair to say Pogba’s time in England has been a mixed bag since he decided to return to United, who he initially left for Juventus in 2012.

His relationship with current United boss Jose Mourinho is well reported to be at an all-time low, with regular rumours circulating regarding a move away from the club for the French World Cup winner.

Understandably, Pogba’s talent would interest a number of Europe’s biggest sides with former club Juventus a name that has been mentioned.

However, the Italian giants are not interested in bringing Pogba back to the club at this moment in time according to Paratici, who says that despite the positive relationship between the two parties, a deal is not currently on the cards.

Speaking to reporters, Paratici said: “We love Paul Pogba, we’ve a fantastic relationship with him; but we’ve never thought about his return at Juventus and we’re not going to think about it”

With months to go until the winter transfer window is open, only time will tell how Pogba’s tenure at Manchester United will develop.

The 25-year-old has enjoyed mixed fortunes since his move back to United in 2016. Across two spells, Pogba has made a total of 105 appearances in all competitions for the Old Trafford club, scoring 19 goals and providing 21 assists.

His debut return season saw United win both the League Cup and the Europa League but since then his time at the club has been marred by controversy and inconsistency.

For Juventus, Pogba enjoyed a fantastic spell of football, winning four Serie A titles, two Coppa Italia trophies and two Supercoppa Italianas, tempting United to bring him back to England.
