Juan Mata says he is unsure whether he will return to La Liga soon amid suggestions the playmaker is playing his last season at Manchester United.
The former Valencia man says he is happy at Old Trafford and is hoping to help United have a positive end to the season.

Manchester United have had a poor season by their high standards, leading to the dismissal of Jose Mourinho, yet since the Portuguese coach has been fired United have been in excellent form.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has led United to four straight wins in the Premier League in which they have scored 14 times, meaning nearly a third of all their top-flight goals this term have come in the last four games.
Mata, who netted his fifth goal of the season in the 2-0 FA Cup victory over Reading, has been a regular this season but could be set to leave with his contract running down this summer.
Though he hinted he could return to Spain, Mata reaffirmed his happiness in England and revealed he is calm about his situation.
“I’ve been in England for a while, but it’s true that at times you miss home, your family, your friends,” he told AS.
“But I don’t know if I’ll return to Spain in the near future. I’m calm, I’m at the fantastic club that is Manchester United, one of the biggest in the world.”
Can United still finish in the top four?
Despite their poor start, the upturn in form under Solskjaer has given the team new impetus and Mata believes United can still finish in the Champions League places.
“We are focused on finishing the season as well as possible and reaching our goal of a place in the Champions League,” he added.
“We would like to have other objectives but that is the reality. A coach came in who is a club legend and has given us confidence.
“I am sure there will be difficult times between now and the end of the season but we will give our all.”
United face a trip to Tottenham next, arguably the first real test of the Solskjaer tenure.
Spurs have been in excellent form of late, winning six of their last seven games with the only defeat coming at home to Wolves on 29 December.
If Manchester United manage to win the game, they will still be seven points behind Pochettino’s side but, depending on results elsewhere, could pull within three points of the top four.
