Edin Dzeko has appeared to shut down any transfer speculation linking him to Chelsea by reaffirming his happiness at Roma.
The Bosnian forward has been strongly linked with the Stamford Bridge outfit but a move now appears unlikely with the big striker confirming he is happy at the Giallorossi.
The 32-year-old has spent the last three seasons with the capital club. It has been a successful spell for the forward who has netted 73 goals in 139 appearances since his transfer from Manchester City.
His good performances have led to transfer speculation linking him with a return to England with Chelsea expected to sign the Bosnian in January but no move materialised.
With Roma looking to rebuild after a summer of upheaval, Dzeko has confirmed that he is happy at the club despite not winning any trophies last season.
Speaking to Roma TV, Dzeko said: “I feel very good here.
”This was part of the reason I stayed in January, when what happened, happened. But I have a wife, I have kids, and at the moment all of them are very happy here.
“Even if we did not win anything last season, I think we had a great campaign – especially in the Champions League – and hopefully we can do something even better this season.”
Roma have brought in a dozen new signings since the end of last season including Javier Pastore from Paris Saint Germain for a reported €50million while they have also seen Radja Nainggolan and Brazilian ‘keeper Alisson depart for Inter and Liverpool respectively.

They will be lining up differently when the new season kicks off in earnest and Di Francesco could have a selection headache on his hands if the transfer speculation linking the Giallorossi with a move for Bordeaux winger Malcom comes to fruition.
Regardless of who else signs it is likely that Edin Dzeko will once again lead the line for the side in 2018/19.
