Kylian Mbappe has admitted he advised Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser al-Khelaifi to sign N’Golo Kante this summer.
The French forward, 19, enjoyed a breakout World Cup showing this summer, helping his country win their second World Cup.
So effective was Mbappe for France that his has been compared to Pele’s 1958 World Cup campaign for Brazil, when the little canaries won the tournament thanks to the then 17-year-old.
And now the PSG man has spoken about who of his national team peers could make the move to the Parisiens, with Mbappe suggesting he has already advised the club’s president to pursue Kante, and even attempted to convince the player himself.
Mbappe told France Football: “I told him again that Kante would be good for our team.
“I spoke to N’Golo during the World Cup but without abusing because I know what it is when you wash your brain with transfers… In the end, I just put a few words in his pockets, which he must have discovered once he returned home, to get the message across.”
Mbappe scored 21 goals in 44 appearances in all competitions in what was his first season at PSG last term.

2014: Ligue 2
2015: Ligue 1
2016: Premier League champion

The youngster, who scored four goals at the Word Cup and earned the Fifa World Cup Best Young Player Award, is also only the second teenager after Pele to score in a World Cup final after his 25-yard strike made it 4-1.
Kante, meanwhile, is currently set to join up with Chelsea and his new manager Maurizio Sarri, who only recently took over the job at Stamford Bridge.
It remains to be seen whether PSG really do go in for Kante, and whether he would want to leave, or even be allowed to. The 2016 Premier League Player of the Year winner won the third-highest number of tackles in the English top flight last season (75) and made more interceptions than any player in the division (82).
