Roma have announced their 13th signing of the summer transfer window with goalkeeper Robin Olsen joining the club, after deal for Bordeaux winger Malcom collapsed.
The capital club have been extremely busy this summer as Eusebio Di Francesco welcomes his 13th signing of window with the Swedish No.1 joining from Danish outfit Copenhagen.
Olsen, 28, enjoyed a brilliant World Cup campaign with Sweden as the Scandinavian side reached the quarter-finals of the competition, and he will join the Giallorossi after Brazilian shot-stopper Alisson signed for Liverpool in a deal worth £67m.
The Swede will join for an initial fee of €8.5 million, and the deal will include a number of performance-related clauses, which could add up to an additional €3.5m.
Roma confirmed the signing of Olsen moments after Barcelona announced that Malcom had joined the club for around £40m; Di Francesco’s men will feel aggrieved after they agreed terms with Bordeaux for the player, but he has since opted for the Camp Nou.

“I’m feeling happy, I’m very excited,” Olsen said (via asroma.com)
“It’s a big honour to come to AS Roma. It’s the next step for me and I cannot wait to get started.”
Sporting director Monchi also hailed the signing as a massive coup for the club, and he will be hoping the 6ft 6in gloveman can fill the void left by Alisson.
He said: “Robin is a goalkeeper with international experience, and I think he can bring that level to Roma with him.
“I am confident he can build on the quality that has seen him firmly establish himself as Sweden’s No. 1.”
