Jordan Ayew appears to have been left off Crystal Palace’s squad list for the 2018/19 season following his deadline day loan move from Swansea City.
The forward, who scored 11 goals in 44 appearances for Swansea across one-and-a-half seasons in Wales, secured a late move to Palace just before last week’s transfer deadline.
But Ayew was left out of Roy Hodgson’s squad altogether for Palace’s opening weekend victory over Fulham at Craven Cottage.
Now, in a post on its official website, the Premier League has released the squad numbers for every top-flight club – and Ayew is not included among Palace’s 25-man list.
It could be the case that Palace have not handed Ayew a shirt number yet, but the deadline has passed to do so.
Some Palace fans have voiced their bemusement at his non-inclusion on Twitter.

omds palace fans stop being so reactionary. if Ayew’s squad number hasn’t been announced, he’s not going to be listed on a premier league website announcing the squad numbers, is he?

Ayew’s absence strikes as particularly odd considering the likes Connor Wickham – who failed to make a single Premier League appearance last season due to injury – is included on the list.
Jonathan Williams – the midfielder who spent part of last term on loan at Sunderland – is also given a first team squad number, as is Sullay Kaikai, who played 14 times for Charlton Athletic in League One last season.
It’s not unusual for teams to announce squad numbers for a high or low quantity of players; there are 71 players on Arsenal’s list, while Wolves have just 23.
