Juventus midfielder Miralem Pjanic has boldly claimed that his side are capable of winning everything this season, following the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Bosnian scored a terrific volley in Juve’s 2-0 victory against Lazio last weekend and he believes his side could be on the verge of something special this season.
When asked about his impressive strike following the match, Pjanic told reporters (via Football Italia): “It wasn’t a simple goal.
“The ball was high, but I managed to put it where I wanted. You need to have co-ordination, even if technique is important.
“I’ve improved a lot compared to recent years, that’s what I wanted to do and I’ve succeeded.
“I want to keep winning and bring home even more important trophies. We have big objectives, Juventus want to win everything.
“We have to be united and do our best. Right now we’re just thinking about winning, but soon we’ll be back to having fun on the pitch too.”
Pjanic, Ronaldo or Dybala?
Pjanic has also commented on who will be on free-kick duty for Juventus this season, with the Serie A holders far from short of volunteers to take set pieces.
Cristiano Ronaldo is, of course, extremely capable from dead ball situations, but the likes of Pjanic and Paulo Dybala have both proven their worth from free kicks last season.
He added: “Paulo Dybala and I used to have free-kick competitions, now Cristiano Ronaldo has been added and he kicks them very well.
“Ronaldo will give us so much, we’re happy that he’s here. In recent years he’s proved he’s the best in the world.”
The Old Lady will be looking to stretch their winning start to the Serie A season when they take on Parma this weekend.
