PSG manager Thomas Tuchel has confirmed that Eric Choupo-Moting and Juan Bernat are both undergoing medicals at the club ahead of European deadline day moves.
Choupo-Moting is a surprise target for PSG, given that he only managed five goals in 32 games for Stoke last season as the Potters were relegated from the Premier League.
On the Cameroon forward, Tuchel told a press conference (via Jonathan Johnson, ESPN): “We have been looking for a backup to Edinson Cavani for a while. Eric Maxim gave us an opportunity.
“He is a player of top quality & can impact games from the bench. We wanted a strong player, able to hold the ball up & dominate aerially.
“His arrival will influence Timothy Weah’s future. That said, they are different types of player.”
Meanwhile, Juan Bernat is joining the club from Bayern Munich, having been unable to dislodge David Alaba in his left-back role.
Since moving to Bayern from Valencia in 2014, he has played 111 games for the German champions, picking up seven caps for Spain along the way.
And as Choupo-Moting and Bernat arrive in Paris, goalkeeper Kevin Trapp will be crossing them as he seals a loan exit to his old club, Eintracht Frankfurt.

Trapp made 91 appearances for PSG since joining them in 2015 but lost his place to Alphonse Areola last season, while the summer arrival of Gianluigi Buffon only pushes the German further down the pecking order at the Parc des Princes.
PSG have won all three of their Ligue 1 games so far and face Nimes away on Saturday.
