Sergej Milinkovic-Savic will not sign for PSG, reveals agent

The agent of Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has poured cold water on suggestions that the Serbian could be in line for a big-money move to Paris Saint-Germain before the end of the transfer window.

Milinkovic-Savic is said to be on the radars of a number of Europe’s top clubs and caught the eye for Serbia at the World Cup this summer.

Recent reports claimed that directors from Lazio and PSG had met regarding a possible deal for Milinkovic-Savic ahead of the close of the transfer window in France.

But the player’s agent Mateja Kezman has insisted that the 23-year-old is going nowhere.

“Milinkovic will stay in Rome and continue to play for Lazio,” he told Corriere dello Sport (via Football Italia).

“Lots of false rumours have spread throughout the summer.”

Premier League bound?

Manchester United are the Premier League side to have been most heavily linked with a move for Milinkovic-Savic, with Jose Mourinho said to be an admirer.

Juventus, Real Madrid and Milan have also been touted as potential destinations for the midfielder.

PSG are reported to be on the look-out for a midfielder this summer and have also been heavily linked with Celta Vigo’s Stanislav Lobotka.

Milinkovic-Savic started Lazio’s first two Serie A matches of the season and is looking to prove himself again this season having gone from strength to strength since his arrival from Genk in 2015.
