It seems as if Arsenal fan’s patience is wearing thin after another costly error from Granit Xhaka.
In his side’s away trip to West Ham today, a misjudged header into the path of Samir Nasri led to Declan Rice scoring his first goal in senior football, taking all three points in a crucial game.
This isn’t the first time Xhaka has been the root cause of Arsenal’s issues. With his error against the Hammers, Xhaka has now made more mistakes leading directly to goals than any other outfield player since the start of last season.
To add insult to injury, the Swiss was replaced after 58 minutes. But as was evident from Arsenal fans’ reactions, the damage had already been done.
The error-prone Swiss must be feeling the pressure as fans have been voicing their opinions on social media today after his side threw away an opportunity to draw level on points with rivals Chelsea.
Here’s what they had to say.
This xhaka is poison.. has brought nothing to my club except pain and bitterness.. and arsene signed him when we should've gotten kante for 20 mill.. xhaka was 35 mill.. horrible stuff

I remember his debut season, he was touted as the better purchase than Paul Pogba

With many fans bemused at Xhaka still maintaining a place in Emery’s starting line-up, the manager may interpret this error as the nail in the coffin for now.
With Aaron Ramsey looking likely to head off to Juventus soon, his side are already lacking depth in midfield and a recent blow to their signing of Denis Suarez will surely be a cause of worry.
