Thierry Henry has denied entering discussions with any club or national team amid links with the vacant Egypt job.
The former Arsenal striker, who scored 228 goals in 376 appearances for the Gunners across all competitions, left his role as a pundit with Sky Sports last month to focus on a career in management.
After reaching the World Cup semi-finals as assistant manager to Belgium boss Roberto Martinez, Henry is now eyeing a number one job and has subsequently been linked a number of vacancies.
Former Egypt goalkeeper Nader El-Sayed recently claimed Henry held talks with Egyptian FA chief Hazem Emam about potentially taking over as the national team’s new manager.
“We had a meeting with Thierry Henry’s agent in London,” said El-Sayed, according to the Mirror. “Henry is waiting [to hear about] the EFA’s project for the team before deciding on the offer.”
However, Henry has now released a statement via Twitter insisting he has not entered discussions “with any club or national association” to date.

The Egypt job has been available since Hector Cuper was sacked following Egypt’s disastrous World Cup campaign, in which they exited after the group stage without winning a single game.
Henry and Belgium went out to eventual champions France in the semi-finals.
