Gareth Southgate has called up Fulham goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli for the upcoming international matches against Spain and Switzerland.
The 26-year-old, who has been capped once at U21 level, joins up as Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana pulls out after sustaining a groin injury.
His call-up comes on the back of featuring in Fulham’s last two Premier League outings after having not been in Slaviša Jokanovic’s squad for their opening two contests.
Congrats @marcusbettss on your first senior call-up to the @England squad

Bettinelli started the season behind Fabri, the 30-year-old Spanish goalkeeper signed from Besiktas. The England man has conceded four in two games, while Fabri let five past him in losses to Crystal Palace and Spurs.
It also means Southgate has four goalkeepers to choose from as Bettinelli links up with Everton’s Jordan Pickford, the present number one, Jack Butland and Alex McCarthy of Stoke City and Southampton respectively.
A graduate of The Cottagers’ youth set-up, Bettinelli (who has enjoyed loan spells at Dartford and Accrington Stanley) has to date made no fewer than 100 appearances for his boyhood club, registering 27 clean sheets and conceding 126 goals in the process.
