Tottenham defender Jan Vertonghen has been ruled out until December, the club has confirmed.
Vertonghen was substituted at half-time during Spurs’ Premier League win at Huddersfield Town last month after pulling up with a hamstring injury.
He has missed every game since then, and Tottenham have now confirmed the Belgian may not be back in full training until December despite responding well to rehabilitation.
A club statement reads: “Jan Vertonghen sustained a hamstring injury against Huddersfield Town on 29 September, which has been monitored closely over the past 12 days.
“Further investigation has shown a good initial response to rehabilitation.
“The Belgium international defender will now continue his recovery with a view to returning to full training by December.”
