Eden Hazard‘s father fears the Chelsea winger will never play for Real Madrid.
With Thibaut Coutrious settling in to life at the Bernabeu his former Chelsea teammate Eden Hazard doesn’t look likely to join him this summer.
Real Madrid have had an ongoing interest in the winger for years but Eden’s father Theirry Hazard feels that the move to Los Blancos will never materialize.
Speaking to Hiet Nieuwsblad (via Goal) Hazard stated : “I can’t say why it did not go through. Not because I don’t want to, because I don’t know. Maybe they have a policy where they want to give the youth a chance. Eden will have one more year on his contract next summer, but he may never end up in Madrid. “
Theirry also speculates that his son’s transfer hopes have been diminished even further with Zidane Zidane no longer the manager at Real Madrid.
“It could be that it had been a different story with Zidane. But on the other hand, he will also have had his reasons for leaving.”

Eden Hazard is on the bench for Chelsea at the moment still recovering from the stellar summer he had with Belgium during the World Cup. He notched three goals and two assists in six games, helping Belguim reach the semi finals.
During his spell with the Blues, Hazard has been arguably one of their all-time best players, however, during the last two games he has made two substitute appearances, with new manager Maurizio Sarri feeling he isn’t ready to play the full 90 minutes.
Chelsea head to Newcastle for their third match of the season.
