Fulham owner Tony Khan has ruled out the sale of rising star Ryan Sessegnon despite strong interest from Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
Sessegnon enjoyed a fantastic breakout season with Fulham last year, scoring 16 goals in 49 Championship fixtures as the Craven Cottage club achieved promotion after defeating Aston Villa 1-0 at Wembley Stadium back in May.
Despite their promotion, such is Sessegnon’s talent, the young Englishman has been linked with a move to a variety of clubs including Tottenham Hotspur, who are yet to make a summer signing to date.
With Spurs making their feelings clear that they are in the market for an exciting young attacking player – they seem to have failed in their pursuit of Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish – Fulham owner Tony Khan has come out and had his say on the speculation surrounding his star man.
Posting on his official Twitter account, Khan wrote: “We’re not selling @ryansessegnon. We’ve never considered it! I couldn’t sit back and read these false rumours anymore, had to say something.
“Ryan’s key to this @fulhamfc squad; he’s one of the top young talents worldwide and in our plans for @premierleague success.
“Come on Fulham!”
According to BBC Sport reporter David Ornstein, Tottenham made an offer for Sessegnon a few weeks previous. In that deal, Spurs reportedly offered the services of England international Danny Rose as leverage but the two clubs couldn’t come to an agreement.
Tottenham made Fulham an offer for Sessegnon several weeks ago, proposed a deal that would see Danny Rose go the other way – #THFC want to move Rose (and Alderweireld for that matter) out – but couldn’t reach agreement and Sessegnon now won’t be leaving #FFC this transfer window

Fulham have made big moves so far in this transfer window as they attempt to once again establish themselves in the Premier League.
Some of their signings so far include former loanee Aleksandar Mitrović from Newcastle United for £22 million, former Chelsea winger Andre Schurrle from Borussia Dortmund on a two-year loan, talented defender Alfie Mawson from recently relegated Swansea City for £15 million and Arsenal man Calum Chambers on a season-long loan.
Fulham’s first Premier League match of the season is at home to Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon, where former club manager Roy Hodgson returns to the club with his Eagles side.
