Jorginho makes history as he completes more passes in a single game than any player in Chelsea‘s history, after making only his third appearance for the club.
Jorginho has helped his side make a great start to Sarri’s first Premier League campaign as the Blues have recorded three victories in their first three opening games earning maximum points.
Chelsea failed to defend their Premier League title last season, and missed out on playing in the Champions League when they finished in fifth place. The west Londoners did manage to win the FA Cup, but it was curtains for Antonio Conte anyway who was unceremoniously sacked in the summer.
The Blues already look like they will present a significant challenge for the title this season and with Jorginho in their side that prospect looks more likely.
Record breaker
Jorginho completed more passes vs. Newcastle than any other player has managed in a single Premier League game so far this season.

It seemed as if every ball went through the Italy international against Newcastle on Sunday, as the 26-year-old completed another near flawless performance in midfield.
Jorginho, who followed Chelsea’s manager Maurizio Sarri from Napoli, completed 158 passes at St James’ Park and recorded a 91.3% pass completion rate as Newcastle’s sturdy midfielders were unable to lay a glove on him all afternoon.
Which means after only three games for the club, the Brazilian born playmaker has broken a club record already and is threatening to break a Premier League record, as he recorded the third highest number of completed passes in the league’s history.
Chelsea’s next game is against Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge next Saturday.
