Everton have confirmed the signing of Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma on a season-long loan.
The 23-year-old French centre-back temporarily moves to Goodison Park with opportunities limited under new boss Maurizio Sarri.
Zouma, who spent last season on loan at Stoke City, becomes the latest major acquisition to join Marco Silva’s revolution on Merseyside.
He joins the likes of Richarlison, Lucas Digne, Bernard, Yerry Mina and fellow loanee André Gomes.
A graduate of Saint-Étienne the Lyon-born footballer joined Chelsea in 2014 after notching 51 league outings for his boyhood club.
His time at Stamford Bridge has been a mixed one; touted for stardom he’d suffer a serious knee injury in his second season at the club and would subsequently fall down the pecking order.
