Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has revealed that he would like to sign two more players before the start of the season.
So far this summer United have brought in three players to try and bridge the gap between them and their city rivals Manchester City, who ran away with the Premier League title by 19 points last season.
Long-term target Fred was signed from Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk for a reported fee of £50 million in an effort to bring more creativity to the United midfield.
Young defender Diogo Dalot arrived from Portuguese side FC Porto for £19 million on a five-year contract with Mourinho hoping the 19-year-old will develop into one of Europe’s hottest full-backs.
In a bid to strengthen the goalkeeping position, experienced shot-stopper Lee Grant was brought in from recently relegated Stoke City to play understudy to current number one David De Gea.

However, Mourinho has confirmed that if he had his way, he would like to bring in a further two players in an effort to improve their chances this year.
“One thing is what I would like,” he told ESPN. “Another thing is what is going to happen.”
Asked directly how many new signings he would like, Mourinho said: “I would get two more players.”
